"Descend!" Billis ordered, as his second Scion came down from the clouds. The firse unleashed it's powerful Blizzaga directed toward bystanders, still not totally aware that people are preparing to fight it. Immediately, Billis produced another stone, this one giving off a white and pure light, able to be seen from the island because of it's intensity.

"That much Mist? That has to be a Scion... meaning whoever is on that airship is probably the most powerful Summoner alive." She saw the second Scion descend and closed her eyes. "Do we run?"

"Have faith." Noss whispered before opening her eyes and fixing them on the Airship. If that stone was what she thought, she had to stop it's summoning. She broke into a run, dashing toward the edge of the island, and leaped over a barricade to prevent people from falling, when she was mere feet from the edge, she called out the name of her Esper. "Valefor, I summon you!" She leaped over the edge... and nothing happened. The magic still coursed around her as she fell. "Valefor!" Still nothing. Noss kept falling.

Bilis jumped into one of Adrammelech's talons and it carried him toward the island faster as several airships opened fire on his. He held the stone up and golden duse seemed to fall toward it from the heavens. A beam shot from it and the dust followed, forming a shape in front of him. "Ultima the High Seraph!" The large feminine creature unfolded her six wings.
Meanwhile, Mateus made it to the land and started attacking those fleeing with his spear, wounding several and perhaps killing one or two of the nameless onlookers.

Her eyes widen and she runs after her, screaming out to her "You idiot!! Valefor is dead!!" She then does the craziest and most illogical thing she could think of...she jumps after her

She looks up at Lucia, who was falling now as well, and not only doe a Silver Dragon arrive beneath her, but her Mist Drive kicks in and a red and blue light shine around her. Shiva and Ifrit take from on the land of Strahl. The Dragon catches Lucia on it's back as well and Noss clings lovingly to her. As Ifrit went to punch Mateus, the Dragon carried the two toward Adrammelech. "We must stop them." She said to Lucia and looked to the Moogle. He already had three Scions in the battlefield.

Lucia blinks as the Dragon appears, and, though a little confused, she wasn't about to complain. She looks to Adrammelech and nods, charging her blade with Water energy as she prepares to use Hydrobrand

Mateus was hit, but following more bursts of light, three other Scions took form on the island to come to his rescue. Belias, Hashmal and Zalera made their move against the two Espers of lesser importance. Mateus decided to point his spear at Shiva.
Ultima used her Redemption magic against one smaller airship, sending it spiraling downward. This made Bilis laugh. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted the Silver Dragon and the blue-haired summoner. He grinned. "Adrammelech, let's knock that birdie out of the sky. Ready your Flash Arc."

She sensed her companion's confusion. "An Esper is an Esper... and the others will come." She closed her eyes and began to chant again, this time preparing to call Anima. She could sense Shiva gather cold winds around her preparing to use an attack on Belias, and Ifrit reaching out to Mateus in hopes of blocking his attack. Still, they were outnumbered.

Rommie pointed her gun at Zalera and stood in defense of the Viera and Feol. "By the authority of Clan Centrino, recognized government of the Nabudin Union, I, Andromeda Eden, command you. Leave this place at once and release the woman."

Zalera gave the girl a cold glare and looked to the shamaness in his clutches. He then looked back to Andromeda and the shamaness screamed a high shriek. Holy magic surrounded Zalera in preparation of a spell.
Ifrit's attempt to defend Shiva succeeded, and the spear met Ifrit full-on. This left Belias to take a swing at Shiva.
Ultima took down another airship and another beam of light fell from the sky as a seventh Scion joined the battle. Now Chaos, the Walker of the Wheel, took form in the sky.

Clan Centrino's authority was not the only one in place that night; certainly, viera didn't have much of a hold on the clan itself, nor on the city of Strahl, yet insofar Iraj had managed alright...at least, up until to the point of devastation as she watched fireworks fizzle out in place of a mass of Mist and the appearance of numerous Scions of legend - as did many others, most of whom were headed in away from the airship, staggering around the city, some intent on finding escape routes and others intent on simply finding a place to tuck their sorry little bodies away as they waited to die. Certainly the air did have a feeling of doom in it, and certainly Iraj felt that about as much as she did the Mist, which pressed heavily down on her body as she struggled to get to her feet without getting shaken back down into a sitting position by the various Scions' actions. They all seemed intent on not only knocking her down, but doing that to many others as well in a much more fatal manner.
As she watched, Iraj winced as one airship went down, one of small size that probably didn't have very many people on board...yet whoever had been was doomed, for as she watched the Scions continued to wreak utter havoc upon the previously peaceful occasion. Fireworks had ceased as far as Iraj could see; she grasped a stave in one hand and in the other, a rod that pulsed in a sickly manner, which she shifted to the other hand in order to steady herself against...well, against something that wasn't there. Thus, she brought about another fall, from which arose both her body and a curse of foul words from her non-too-clean mouth.
"Damn!" she muttered one more time before dusting herself off thoroughly. She scowled, shoved one of her weapons into her belt, and stalked off, grasping the other - the Rasp Rod - like a baseball bat that threatened to break through the skull of anyone stupid enough to surprise her or approach her from behind. However, presently there were no such people around, and she put that weapon away as well, though it was in reach constantly. Almost immediately, she was forced to pull it back out, muscles tensing even further as she looked on with surprise to face the fact that she'd come face to face with a Scion...and she wasn't the only one.
Glancing at her newfound companion, Iraj was stunned by her bold words - to speak to a Scion so must have taken her quite some gumption! Yet she stood her ground: perhaps she was unaware of how little a threat she posed to Zalera, a Scion who readily reeked death whether or not he knew it, and his shamaness? Especially the shamaness, who Iraj had never liked. What madness could drive a woman to allow herself be taken hostage and kept that way for so long in that decaying state of half-death by someone as sadistic and cold as Zalera? Iraj involuntarily shuddered; yet it could not be helped. She grimaced and, hoping it would not result poorly, she said as loudly as she could above the massive din, "He will not obey, Eden!"
(That was her name, wasn't it? Or perhaps even a surname, from what Iraj could hear.)
"He is no mortal; he need not obey our laws, nor that of your Union - nor will he release the shamaness, she who calls not for reprieve but for the sake of her own reverie!"
Her breath quickened shallowly immediately after she'd spoken, perhaps a sign that Zalera now realized that this newcomer posed just as much of a threat as the one who so dared to point a weapon at his person...which wasn't much of a threat, really, but Iraj grimaced anyway. The feeling of weighty helplessness was amazingly lightened as Zalera's preparation for his next attack commenced. The sudden shriek near brought Iraj to her knees, but instead of falling and curling into a fetal position as she'd have liked to, Iraj hoisted both of her staves to her personal eye level as she, too, readied a spell: probably not as effective as the acts of the valiant Espers some other fighter had called to the battlefield, but enough to make her feel as though she, too, could make a difference in this somehow oh-so-very important (she knew it instinctively) battle.

"Stupid hume..." Rin drew her rapier and took Elise's hand on hers, giving it a soft and loving squeeze. She eyed Zalera and let out a sigh. Then, she looked to Iraj. "There are worse ways to die, eh, sister?"

((godmode time))
"Take us to that Revenant!" Noss ordered her Silver Dragon, who flew them to an abandoned two-person craft. Upon arriving, Noss and Lucia hopped in and the Dragon went off to join the battle.
"What are you doing?" Lucia asked. Noss had taken the passenger seat, and in this state, Lucia wasn't about to argue.
"Saving the woman I love." Noss closed her eyes. The Scions were descending, and she had no way to defeat them... she had only one hope, and it was to save herself and Lucia. "Lucia, remember that watch I gave you to hold for me and told you never to open?"
"Yeah." Lucia nodded, looking confused and taking the watch out of her pocket. She handed it to Noss who instructed her to hold on tightly.
As Zodiark descended, she decided it was time. Noss held up the watch and began to almost scream. "Grimoire of Worlds, I invoke your power!" The gemstone on the front of the watch shone brightly in the night and a beam of light, much more intense than that of the Auracite, touched the sky through the glass of the ship's cabin. From where the beam came to an end, a bright blue magic swirled like a hurricane at an angle, and from it came a brilliant geyser of magic, which collapsed back in on the event horizon and opened to reveal a corridor of light.
"Wow."
Not seemingly phased at all, Noss (who by all rights shouldn't know how to fly one of these things), pressed forward as fast as the ship could go and flew into the rift. After it did, the cloud of magic collapsed in on itself and vanished in a blink of light.
Recognizing this as a Grimoire and sign of their creators, the Scions backed away in panic before dissolving into colored light, leaving only the ruin they had originally caused in their wake.
The craft exited a similar rift in Vedra and rapidly fell from the sky in the direction of Haukin Venya.
