Name: Iraj Quicksilver
Nickname: N/A
Race: Viera
Age: 174
Sexual Preference: Bisexual
Appearance: Like all other viera, Iraj is lanky and extremely tall regardless of her shoes - which, concerning them, often contribute two inches to her height. Because of her viera anatomy, which provides her with clawed feet, she must constantly wear heels in order to maintain her balance. Her ears are mainly white, speckled with grey, several shades darker than her hair so as to distinguish one from the other. Iraj wears her hair cut short for comformity's sake, often underneath a steel helm from which her ears also protrude. Her skin is darker than both her ears and her hair, a cocoa shade marred only by those scars and callouses the viera salves Iraj prefers to hume treatments cannot treat.
One such scar trails across the back of her left thigh, a curving line beginning at her hip and ending slightly below her kneecap. There is another on her opposing arm, smaller in size and not very noticeable since Iraj dresses modestly and does not like baring much of her upper arms. Among her assortment of attire are several armbands that hide this scar from plain view, though not entirely because they are made of cloth and are very thin. She also favors a high collar in contrast with a low-cut neckline, baring her stomach as well in a perfect example of viera garb, which is more often than not both skimpy and aesthetically pleasing.
Iraj has eyes of a dark violet hue, similar to a rawcut amethyst. Her eyebrows, the same color as her hair, are high and arching, giving her an inquisitive look and making her seem older than she appears. Her cheekbones are high and prominent, so Iraj can (at times) seem as though she's constantly frowning because of her face structure. It also gives her a peculiar look when she really does smile.
Personality: Iraj finds that a fast-paced, exciting life suits her best. She is cautious, yes, but will often act without thinking. Unlike other viera, who are admired for both strength of body and clarity of mind, Iraj claims that she possesses only the second. Her thinking is too logical for her own good (always thinking about the benefits, she's a big cheapskate and doesn't have very many true friends) and she suffers from minor xenophobia. She doesn't enjoy meeting new people, although she does prefer not to stay in one place for too long. A strong feminist, Iraj doesn't hesistate to argue or fight and isn't exactly partial to men, even if she is attracted to them. Those who can stand her presence often find that she's very peculiar: she loves teeteringly absurd heights, hates closed spaces or hot environments, and doesn't approve the use of shortcuts.
Likes: Fruit, potions, fighting/weapons, high places, and viera garb.
Dislikes: Strangers (hence the xenophobia), meeting strangers, carrots, alcohol, spending money, shortcuts, and closed spaces or intense heat.
Favorite Food/Drink: It doesn't particularly matter to her what she eats from day to day, so long as it's clean and healthy, but she enjoys any sort of fruit especially. Iraj also likes the taste of potions, whether or not she's in need of them.
Least Favorite Food/Drink: Although most alcohol is made from grain or other agricultural products, Iraj's distaste for alcohol spans to the point where she refuses to enter a tavern or bar if they don't serve plain old water. Other than alcohol, Iraj can't abide bitter foods, especially herbal remedies and the like, and has developed a distaste for carrots because of the connection between bunny-woman and aforementioned vegetable.
Background: Iraj is one of only a handful of viera to leave Kaeke Village in the Silverwood, where she lived for a century before her departure from the Wood. This was brought about by the appearance of a man, lost in the Silverwood while trying to find the nearby Ice Fields, whom she met when separated from the rest of a group of Wood-warders. She was a Wood-warder for fifty years before and two years after that man came along; before that, Iraj hadn't known anything of the world outside nor deigned to care. When she came across the man he was delirious and told her of things like airships, magicite, and the artful city of Loitoma - his final destination.
He ended up dead before the hour...not because of frostbite, which turned his fingers and arms a ghostly shade of green-black, but because she promptly shot him in fear of what he spoke of. She buried his body in a hollow tree, returning to her village and the chagrin of her fellow Wood-warders, who had taken her for dead. What the man (she never caught his name, though he muttered praises of Loitoma every time she asked) had told her became the focus of much of her life. She isolated herself from other viera and instead sought the chance to leave the Silverwood without being killed on the way out.
While the lives of viera are long, Iraj felt the span of the two years it took to leave was endless. When the chance finally came, she grabbed at it without a thought, leaving her village behind in a flurry of snow as winter set in on the already cold mass of trees that was the Silverwood. Since then, the viera has taken on the surname Quicksilver and has chosen to wander the world learning magick (only taught in small quantities to Kaeke viera) and how to better fight.
Miscellaneous: The age may be off according to Minerva's idea of viera aging. It's 27-equivalent. (And yes, I do realize I'm way too lazy for this to make up for my putting off the profile for so long.)
